Running coach Nicole smiling and giving a peace sign during a marathon

Hi, I'm Nicole

Your Hermosa Beach Running Coach

A Coach for runners of every pace. Run with me and we'll reach your goals together.

About Coach Nicole

I've been an avid runner since moving to southern California in 2021. I've run numerous races of all sorts of distances, including 8 marathons, and qualified for Boston (opens in a new tab). My favorite distances are the half and full marathons. I'm always looking for that next goal and figuring out how to enjoy myself along the way. I live in Hermosa Beach with my husband and two cats and am a proud member of South Bay Runners Club (opens in a new tab).

My coaching philosophy is to make sure my athletes have fun and grow, rekindle, or spark their love for running while also challenging themselves. As an RRCA Level 1 Certified Coach (opens in a new tab), I pull from a wealth of running knowledge and training techniques to help you achieve your goals. No goal is too big or small to work towards.

I specialize in recreational runners starting out in the sport or looking for assistance reaching that next goal. All paces welcome, including run/walk. Experience coaching masters and menopausal runners.

Coaching runners in Hermosa Beach, Manhattan Beach, Redondo Beach, the South Bay, and virtually anywhere.

How it Works

Training plans aren't “one size fits all.” I collaborate with my runners to make sure the plan works with their abilities, preferences, and schedule. We start with an intro meeting to discuss goals and current training levels and health. I then map out a general plan and release workouts to you two weeks at a time. One week prior to a race we will meet to talk through race strategies. Shortly after the race, we will dissect the race and see what went well, what didn’t go so well, and what we want to change for the next training cycle.

What if you need to adjust the plan?

Life happens, we all know that. I am available via email or text message at any time to make changes to the plan due to sickness, travel, or anything else that may arise.

Only interested in a plan as a starting point?

I also provide static plans based on one intro meeting to discuss your goals and schedule.
